Petaluma Wrestling Club (PWC) was founded in 2019 by Mike Gardner and Isaac Raya, two former wrestlers who are also long-time wrestling coaches and public school educators. For years, each had wanted to see a youth wrestling program in Petaluma. When their kids ended up in the same first grade class, Mike and Isaac met and discovered their shared interest in wrestling and coaching. Shortly thereafter, and with great support from the community, they launched PWC.

PWC holds instructional sessions throughout the year for grades K-12 and attends local and out of town tournaments with wrestlers who wish to compete. Whether brand new to wrestling, or experienced and looking to advance skills, we will have something for you!

PWC aims to provide an accessible program that prioritizes quality wrestling instruction, good sportsmanship and fun in a safe and welcoming environment. We are a USA Wrestling Chartered Club and member of Coastal Mountain Wrestling Association. Our coaches have decades of combined youth wrestling coaching experience and hold Wrestling Leader Memberships through USA Wrestling, which require background screening and SafeSport training.

PWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our founders and leadership volunteer their time to run the club and coach and have never taken any salary. Because our #1 goal is to give all kids the opportunity to participate in the amazing sport of wrestling, we work to keep our fees as low as possible. Financial aid for registration is available.
